Definitions
Pacific Rentals Hawaii provides a selection of clean, reliable rental vehicles to meet a variety of personal, business, and travel needs. Vehicle availability may vary based on location, season, and demand.
Rental Agreement
This agreement governs the rental and use of any vehicle provided by Pacific Rentals Hawaii. By signing the rental agreement, you agree to comply with all terms and conditions outlined herein.
We reserve the right to repossess the vehicle, at your expense and without prior notice, if it is abandoned, used unlawfully, or operated in violation of this agreement.
Vehicle Condition & Return
The vehicle must be returned on the agreed date and time in substantially the same condition as when it was rented, excluding normal wear and tear.
The renter is responsible for the vehicle until it has been returned and inspected by an authorized representative of Pacific Rentals Hawaii. Vehicles returned outside normal business hours remain the renter’s responsibility until they have been inspected.
The renter agrees to operate the vehicle responsibly and monitor basic vehicle conditions, including fuel level and dashboard warning indicators.
Responsibility for Damage or Loss
The renter is responsible for any loss of or damage to the rental vehicle during the rental period, regardless of fault, subject to applicable law and any accepted protection plans.
Any accident, theft, vandalism, or damage must be reported immediately to both Pacific Rentals Hawaii and the appropriate law enforcement authorities.
Prohibited Use
The vehicle may not be used:
Violation of these terms may result in termination of the rental agreement, additional charges, and legal action where applicable.
Insurance
The renter is responsible for maintaining any insurance coverage required by law unless otherwise provided under the rental agreement.
Optional protection plans, when available, may be offered at the time of rental and are subject to separate terms and conditions.
Rental Charges
The renter agrees to pay all applicable charges, including but not limited to:
Security Deposit
A $250 security deposit is required before the rental begins. The deposit may be applied toward unpaid rental charges or other amounts due under this agreement. Any remaining balance will be refunded in accordance with company policy.
Personal Property
Pacific Rentals Hawaii is not responsible for personal belongings left inside the vehicle or on company premises. Please check the vehicle carefully before returning it.
Changes to the Agreement
No modification to this agreement shall be valid unless approved in writing by an authorized representative of Pacific Rentals Hawaii.
Any extension of the rental period is subject to vehicle availability and company approval.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pacific Rentals Hawaii shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the rental or use of the vehicle.
Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii.
Acceptance of Terms
By renting a vehicle from Pacific Rentals Hawaii, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
